>The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck<

wazzup

There hasn't been too much going on - just having the normal summertime fun : )
The last few days we've been spending alot of time playing in the pool in the backyard, going to new parks around the neighborhood and just hanging out around the house.
Kaylin had her very first visit to the dentist today - and I was very proud of her, she did so good! She really liked this dentist lady too - that is going to help in the future I am sure!
Isabella is doing good ~ she is smiling a lot now, today while I was putting Kaylin down for her nap she kept lauging hysterically in her sleep! It was really cracking me up! I wish I could capture that on tape and watch it over and over...

The pictures I keep trying to post are of Kaylin's 2nd birthday, so hopefully I can get more on here. On her actual birthday we went to McDonalds for lunch (a real treat for her! we rarely go there), then we took her to the Little Red Schoolhouse (it's an old schoolhouse that they have at a Forest Preserve, and it has some small animals in it, and there are trails, etc.). She LOVED it! She was having a great time looking at all the little creatures when "CAWWW CAWWW!!!" went this HUGE black crow in one of the cages. It startled me something good too, but she just freaked out and screamed!!! Now that's all she talks about (seriously, it's like at least 3 times a day since then, and it's been what, like, a month since then?!?!) "Daddy, that black crow scared me" is one of the first things she says when Brian walks in the door! It's so funny! I wonder how long she'll do that for...
Then on the following Sunday we had a small birthday party with our immediate families for her too. She had a great time, and she can't wait for her next birthday now!
